Ticketmaster Updates App With Watchlist, Personalized Recommendations and Smarter Search

Ticketmaster has rolled out an updated mobile app designed to help fans discover events, monitor upcoming ticket sales and find shows in different markets.

The redesigned app introduces a Watchlist feature that allows users to track ticket sales and event updates in one place. Ticketmaster has also refreshed its Home screen, search tools and Favorites feature as part of a broader effort to create a more personalized browsing experience.

The update is available to many users on iOS and Android across 21 international markets, with Ticketmaster saying broader access will follow.

According to the company, approximately 40% of fans said they had missed an event because they did not know it was taking place. Ticketmaster said the new features were developed in response to that problem and feedback collected directly from users.

Ticketmaster Global President Saumil Mehta shared, “Too many fans first hear about a great show after it’s happened. That insight, and what we’ve heard directly from fans, has shaped this app update.”

“It’s the beginning of a broader effort to build more fan-inspired experiences that make discovering, following and enjoying live events feel more personal every step of the way,”  Mehta continued.

The redesigned Home screen now organizes event recommendations into categories including “For You,” “Trending” and “Last Minute.” Those sections are intended to surface events that correspond with a user’s interests while also highlighting popular shows and tickets available close to an event date.

Ticketmaster’s new Watchlist gives fans a dedicated location for following upcoming ticket sales and receiving event updates. The tool could be particularly useful for high-demand events with multiple sales stages, including artist presales, venue presales and general public on-sales.

The company also upgraded its Favorites feature, which allows users to follow artists, sports teams and other performers. Information collected through Favorites helps Ticketmaster determine which events should be displayed more prominently to an individual user.

An improved native search experience is intended to help fans locate events more quickly. The app also makes it easier for users to change their location and browse concerts, games and other live events in destinations they are visiting.

Additional design changes include higher-contrast visuals, enhanced display controls and a Dark Mode option. Together, the updates give users more control over how events appear as they browse the app.

The latest release increases Ticketmaster’s focus on discovery as ticketing platforms compete not only to complete transactions but also to influence how fans learn about events. Features that alert users to presales, ticket drops and last-minute availability can help keep fans within a single platform throughout the ticket-buying process.
