Tickets for the 2027 College Football Playoff Quarterfinal at the Rose Bowl went on sale to the general public Wednesday, giving fans an opportunity to secure seats nearly four months before the participating teams are determined.
The game will be played January 1, 2027, at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, California. It will feature one of the four highest-seeded teams in the College Football Playoff against a team that advances from the opening round.
The exact matchup will not be known until the CFP Selection Committee unveils the playoff bracket on December 6.
Kickoff is also still to be determined. The Rose Bowl will occupy either the 1 p.m. or 5 p.m. PT quarterfinal window on New Year’s Day, with the final assignment to be announced later.
The Pasadena Tournament of Roses opened the public sale at 9 a.m. PT through Ticketmaster, with tickets starting at $202.90 including fees. Purchases are limited to four tickets per person.
The public sale marks the latest step toward the Rose Bowl’s continued role in the expanded College Football Playoff. The CFP previously confirmed that the January 1 game would serve as one of the quarterfinals in the 2026-27 postseason.
For buyers, the $202.90 advertised starting price is an all-in figure that includes ticket fees rather than a base price that increases during checkout. Actual available prices will vary by seating location and inventory as the sale progresses.
Fans buying now are therefore securing access before knowing which schools will reach Pasadena, a dynamic that could affect both primary and resale-market pricing once the playoff field is announced in December.
A separate limited ticket sale for Pasadena residents is also expected later this year, according to the Tournament of Roses.
