Jinkx Monsoon is set to return to the role of Mary Todd Lincoln in the West End production of “Oh, Mary!” later this summer.
Monsoon will join the London production at the Trafalgar Theatre from August 17 through September 26. Monsoon previously played the role during two limited engagements on Broadway.
Monsoon will take over the lead role following Catherine Tate, who is scheduled to star in the production through July 18. “Oh, Mary!” creator and original Broadway star Cole Escola will then lead the show from July 20 through August 15 before Monsoon begins her engagement.
The performer is currently appearing in London as Judy Garland in “End of the Rainbow,” a run that continues through June 21.

The current West End cast of “Oh, Mary!” includes Scott Karim as Mary’s Husband, Kate O’Donnell as Mary’s Chaperone, Oliver Stockley as Mary’s Husband’s Assistant and Dino Fetscher as Mary’s Teacher.
Written by Escola, “Oh, Mary!” reimagines the life of Mary Todd Lincoln in the weeks leading up to the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln. The comedy portrays the former First Lady as a cabaret-obsessed alcoholic whose theatrical ambitions drive the story’s increasingly absurd events.
The production premiered Off-Broadway at the Lucille Lortel Theatre in 2024. Following strong ticket demand and three extensions, the show transferred to Broadway in 2025, where it has continued to draw audiences at the Lyceum Theatre.

The comedy made its West End debut on December 18, 2025, with Pinkleton returning to direct the London production.
Pinkleton also reunited much of the Broadway creative team for the transfer, including scenic designer dots, costume designer Holly Pierson, lighting designer Cha See, composer and co-sound designer Daniel Kluger, co-sound designer Drew Levy, wig designer Leah J. Loukas and music arranger David Dabbon. U.K. casting is by Stuart Burt CDG.
The production is produced by Kevin McCollum and Lucas McMahon alongside Mike Lavoie and Carlee Briglia, with Wessex Grove serving as executive producer.
“Oh, Mary!” continues its Broadway run and is getting ready to take the production on the road this fall with a national tour scheduled to begin in fall 2026.
