Market Heat Report: Ed Sheeran Burns Up the Charts

On the eve of his appearance in the Citi Concert Series on the Today Show in the United States, Ed Sheeran dominated the TicketNetwork secondary numbers, picking up four Top 20 spots in the market heat report for the day. Sheeran’s Friday date in Toronto came in at No. 4, with Saturday’s date at the same venue No. 11, a September date in Brooklyn at No. 17 and an August date in Georgia No. 19.

Paul McCartney came in at No. 7 for his show in Miami on Friday, while Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather Jr’s superfight in Las Vegas next month continued to dominate at No. 1. Metallica and Avenged Sevendold’s Wednesday show in Florida was No. 3, with the Major League Baseball home run derby on Monday rounding out the Top 5.

Soccer (or football, if you prefer) took several spots in the rankings as well, with CONCACAF Gold Cup action on Sunday in San Diego at No. 6 and International Champions Cup action at No. 7 and No. 14. American football also made the rankings, with the Dallas Cowboys-New York Giants game in September among the top sellers for the day.
